Class & Division
Placement:

The Artistic Director has the
final decision in all matters pertaining to class
and division placement. |
Tuition
/ Refunds:
|
1. |
All
tuition is paid in full before any student may
take class. |
2. |
Tuition is non-refundable &
non transferable. |
3. |
No refunds
given if a student is suspended and/or voluntarily
leaves the school for any reason. |
4. |
No refunds given for missed
classes. |
5. |
No refunds
given for Performance fees or Costume fees if
a student is dismissed or voluntarily withdraws
from the Performance. |
Attendance:
|
1. |
All
students must take the minimum number of required
classes per week for their division. Students
in the Advanced level must make-up ALL missed
classes in order to remain in the Advanced level. |
2. |
Students with injuries are required
to observe class. |
3. |
Please do
not send your child to class if he/she is ill
with a fever or any sickness. |
4. |
Students who have poor attendance,
or whose technical ability is not of the level
required, will be asked to attend a lower level
class until the technique level is met. |
5. |
The school
may close without notice due to emergencies and
inclement weather. When in doubt, call the office
at (419) 297-2458 and listen to our voice mail notice.
Generally, if the Toledo Public Schools are closed
due to inclement weather, Cassandra School of
Ballet may also be closed (although there are
exceptions). |
Spring Performance
Requirements:
|
1. |
Students
participating in the annual Spring Performance
must attend all rehearsals
(9 weeks) with an allowance of one absence.
|
2. |
Parents of students participating
in the annual Spring Performance are asked to
help with the Spring Production. |
3. |
Parents unable
to take on a job for the Spring Production are
required make a monetary contribution to our school
fundraiser. |
Parents:
|
1. |
Parents
may observe classes twice within the school year
during Parent Observation weeks. (see
Observation Page) |
2. |
Students / Parents may ask for
their child’s evaluation at the end of each
8 Week Session. |
3. |
If a parent
needs to speak with the director, Cassandra Macino,
he/she should call (419) 297-2458 or email cassandra@cassandraballet.com
to schedule an appointment for a conference with
Ms. Cassandra. |
4. |
Parents who wish to remain during
class time may do so in the front lobby area.
Parents and siblings may not wander beyond the
security door entrance, leading to the dressing
room/classroom area. |
5. |
Parents agree
to and understand that the teaching methods at
Cassandra Ballet will often include "hands-on"
instruction. Physical contact may be necessary
to insure correct alignment and teaching technique
for the students. |
General
Policies:

1. |
To
maintain an educational atmosphere and respect
for the teaching environment, we ask that all
student cell phones be turned off upon entering
the building. |
2. |
The dress code at the Cassandra
School of Ballet is to be strictly observed in
all classes. |
3. |
Do not bring
any valuables into the school. |
4. |
No food or beverages permitted
in the school, except for water bottles. |
5. |
No gum is
allowed in any area of the school at anytime. |
6. |
Students attending the upper
level and Advanced level must show respect to
their teachers at all times: No hanging/ leaning
on the barres during class instruction. This demonstrates
a negative body language and a negative attitude
towards the teacher and students. Disrespect of
any kind to the teachers or staff, will not be
tolerated. Failure to follow discipline and class
management will result in class dismissal. After
3 dismissals, the student will be permanently
dismissed from the school. |

It is against our School Policy to audition and perform with other dance companies without prior discussion with the Artistic Director. |
